Mark T. Donahoe is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Monitor Finance, which has acquired over 3,100 multi-family units throughout the mid-west and currently has over $185 million in real estate assets under management. Previously he was a senior executive with Piper Jaffray, where his career spanned from 1982 to 2006. Donahoe served on the firms operating committee and was most recently Senior Managing Director and Head of Equity Trading. He had overall responsibility for the company’s equity execution services businesses, including the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq trading, algorithmic and program trading, as well as convertible sales and trading. Donahoe has also held numerous positions in associations related to the securities industry. He is a past president of the Minnesota Securities Dealers Association (MSDA) as well as a former board member of the Business Economic Education Foundation (BEEF). From 1995 to 1998, he was a trustee for the Securities Industry Foundation for Economic Education (SIFFEE). Donahoe was frequently quoted as a markets expert in national print and broadcast outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, CNN and CNBC. Over the past ten years, Donahoe has owned and managed a private real estate portfolio in western Canada. He is a member of the Corporate Sponsors Board for the Pacer Foundation.
